The Trust for Urban Ecology included graphic artists from the outset in 1976, when the William Curtis Ecological Park was created on a disused lorry park by Tower Bridge. The name of the Park itself references the pioneering work Flora Londinensis (1777) by William Curtis, who commissioned leading artists to document London's indigenous flora in colour plates, partly with a view to assisting identification and recording by non specialists. Original artwork was a feature of the Trust's...

Five photographs by Rebeka Clark show the laying out of Stave Hill Ecological Park on the Rotherhithe Peninsula in South London and the sites development in the first years, up to around 1992. The final pinhole photograph by Ky Lewis from 2 May 2015 shows the same view, now with semi mature woodland. The Thames runs in the valley behind the trees, in front of the new financial district.
